Worked on wifey's Toshiba laptop running Vista after I tried to "speed up" the thing and inadvertantly compressed all files. Like I said, for step 1, I can't find the settings you mentioned in the BIOS…..My BIOS are Phoenix 75.06. If you for some strange reason have lost your Vista DVD, then you can also use a Windows 2000 / XP install CD and enter the recovery console instead and execute life saver!
