Adel H July 15, 2008 3:50 PM It seems your fix to the problem is to make "show" the default, but the Ramesh repair makes "open" the default. Gee, can Micro$oft extract even more of my hard earned salary for a "free" program that requires a PHd to use? I have tried double clicking and right click open. OE-Mail Recovery opens dbx files of OE versions 5 and 6.
The files open just as they should when saved to the computer, but not in Outlook Express. I have no idea why that is, and it's possible other e-mail programs display the same behavior. In the resulting dialog, click on the File Types tab, and you should see something like this: Scroll down to the PPS entry, or where the PPS entry should be alphabetically. Followed your instructions, then went on to Ramesh's site and downloaded the Fix utility for Outlook Express. Now I can't even look at my pps file on the desktop!!! Setting it up should create all the appropriate associations for you to be able to view PPS files.
Anyway I'm not sure whether I've ever tried to open a adobe file from O.E. What do I do? You can not post a blank message. Worked like magic!
