Ok I solved the problem someone I know suggested I restore my computer to an earlier date. Uninstalled Ashampo firewall and up dates now work. Does anyone know what's going on? Your Welcome.. After i posted this i managed to find the solution (and it was, as is usually the case ) quite simple. I have McAfee Security Center.

remo220Nov 12, 2013, 1:37 AM Thanks ssddxNov 12, 2013, 1:40 AM good luck.i would highly advise using a better antivirus on all of your systems in the future.i understand its a NOTE: Recent updates to some versions of Windows won't allow this util to backup the registry so ignore any errors you may get and perform the registry backup manually if needed. Ashampoo firewall used normally but it makes no difference if switched off. Deleting something or erasing it mean it can be still somewhere deep in the coding of the drive.
