Solved: New Build Shut-down Issues Windows 7
I didn't have Windows on it previously so can not say if it's a Windows 10 thing.Really miss suspend and the fast start up. Open Task Manager, go to Startup tab and disable unnecessary items from startup. I have also tested with another Linux distribution, and the machine also suspends and shuts down fine.So at least I know it's not necessarily a hardware fault. RS If you find it's not working, try disabling 'Fast startup" restart your computer and then go back and turn it back on and restart your computer again. Sometimes a power button gets stuck in the "turning on" position and it causes all kinds of weird problems. Machines now do a proper shut down (actually turns off) and restarts like it should. If it is set to 1 it is enabled, and may delay the shut down process. navigate here What's New?

It doesnt freeze on restart or shutdown. Again, powercfg comes to the rescue: Use powercfg -waketimers to see if the system is scheduled to wake up at any particular time by a given task.
