Have successfully installed Office 2003 into Win 7. Word 2003 will not open files; I must open Word, then click on file via the Explorer interface, or click on the file and use "Open With" (Word) each time. The one you gave me led to a Normal.dot file that was NOT Read-Only. It was the Pathway!

I merely opened up a Word file, saved it as .rtf, closed it and then clicked on the .rtf file for Word to automatically open it as before. Haven't tried this.
