Solved: No Network Adapter Under Device Manager
The WiFi and Wired network cards do show as working properly in device manager. There is no network adapter listed. No problems found. Reinstalling drivers in several different ways (MS's Device manager, tool from laptop manufacturer etc.) didn't help at all. Thanks so much!!
