It is not even mentioned in the procedure "Moving your pst file to another folder". Cannot Open Attachments In Outlook 2016 I deleted the main file and tried System restore and other tricks but didn't quite get it to how it was initially. No luck.

To set it as the default, I clicked Choose default program…, enabled Always use the selected program to open this kind of file, and I was back in business. This worked perfect. The Microsoft help site says to create a new profile, but does not warn that you will lose all of your old mail and Address Book with it. Send receive was bunged up in OUTLOOK.pst so that was the reason I had to create the new file in the first place. I'm doing the electric slide now…lol.
